Meet Dr. Troy Fodor

Dr Fodor grew up in Grass Lake, Michigan, a small town about a 45 minute drive south of the capital Lansing.

Growing up in a rural area allowed for farming, cutting firewood, hunting & fishing during his youth.  Graduating in a class of 52 allowed for some close friendships and fond memories.  After graduation, Dr Fodor attended a local Jr College about 30 minutes from his parents’ farm.  At Jr college, the meeting of a soon to be friend and talk of football exploits
lead to discussions of classes and future plans. Dr Fodor’s new friend was starting his undergrad studies to continue on to Chiropractic college.  Dr Fodor and his family had been Chiropractic patients throughout his youth and at that point it was decided that Chiropractic college was the direction to go.

Following 2 years of undergrad, Dr Fodor moved to Iowa to continue his education.  Moving to Iowa allowed classes which lead to a Bachelor’s  Degree in Science with a minor in English.  He then attended Palmer  College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA, the original Chiropractic College and graduated with academic honors in 1991.

After graduation he moved to Sunnyside, WA and started his practice.  The Yakima Valley has become his home.

In 1995 Troy married the love of his life, Denise.  They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren, so far!  In 2020 a new office was built and they moved into it on July 1, 2020.

Troy & Denise’s son, Ty, is attending Palmer Chiropractic College in Iowa at this time and will be joining the office in July 2023, God willing.

Meet Dr. Ty Fodor, BS, DC:

Dr. Ty Fodor was born and raised in Sunnyside, WA. From a young age, he saw how his father, Dr. Troy Fodor, helped restore many patients to health. This inspired Ty to pursue a doctorate of chiropractic himself. He attended Sunnyside Christian High School, taking all of the anatomy and science courses they offered to prepare for the road ahead. Through highschool and undergrad, he always kept busy with work on the Fodor farm, vineyards, orchards, and rentals after classes. After completing 2 years of undergrad at WSU, he applied for an accelerated tract to complete his bachelor degree and doctorate concurrently through Palmer College of Chiropractic. After 4 years and over 4,000 hours of classroom, lab, clinic, and outreach practice, Ty joined us as an intern in March of 2023. Shortly after that, he joined as a fully fledged Doctor in July of 2023. He specializes in Gonstead technique, a chiropractic method that carefully analyzes the segments of the spine before correcting the misaligned segments according to their specific orientation.

Dr. Ty Fodor D.C. is excited to continue the Fodor legacy of exemplary care for the people of the Yakima valley.

Meet Dr. Skyler Fodor, BS, DC

While Dr. Skyler has lived all over the United States, she was born and raised in Dayton, OH, where her family lived next door to a chiropractor, Dr. Van D. Merkle, DC, DABCI, DCBCN, CCN. Dr. Merkle and his family taught Dr. Skyler’s family about holistic healthcare, nutrition, and chiropractic care. Her family greatly benefited from Dr. Merkle’s influence– in fact, Dr. Skyler’s parents had her and her brother adjusted from birth! Through growth spurts, sport injuries, and more, she has experienced firsthand the benefits of chiropractic care. Dr. Merkle’s influence inspired her so much that she decided to become a chiropractor when she was only a sophomore in high school! After finishing high school, she completed 2.5 years of undergraduate health studies at Cedarville University and 3.5 years of chiropractic studies at Palmer College of Chiropractic’s main campus in Iowa. Dr. Skyler feels blessed to have excelled in her academics, as she was able to take an accelerated path for her undergraduate studies. In June 2023, she graduated with both her Bachelor of General Science and Doctor of Chiropractic degrees from Palmer College of Chiropractic. Dr. Skyler even graduated summa cum laude in her chiropractic class!

Dr. Skyler married Dr. Ty Fodor, DC on July 1, 2023 in Sunnyside. They enjoy hiking, shooting, thrift shopping, and watching movies together. In her free time, Dr. Skyler also likes to cook, bake, run, and workout. You might see her running the paths of Sunnyside or Grandview on her days off!

Dr. Skyler is passionate about caring for patients holistically and loves incorporating nutritional and exercise advice, in addition to chiropractic adjustments, during patient visits. She cares for patients across the lifespan, from newborns to people in their 80+ years! Dr. Skyler takes an individualized approach to healthcare and is excited to work with you.
