Frequently Asked Questions

No. Chiropractic care positions your spinal vertebra into the proper position which in turn makes the joint more stable.  If you decide to discontinue care, your spine has benefited from alignment.

Yes. Children can have spinal segments out of proper alignment just like adults. Children are more resilient but when is the last time an adult fell 6-20 times in a day? Some children have spinal injury from the birth process. Remember, children are growing & changing very rapidly & misalign-ments can grow into bigger problems at a faster rate than with fully grown adults.

A Chiropractor is the best trained healthcare specialist for the evaluation of your spine to determine if you have spinal segments that are not positioned properly, not functioning properly and/or  putting pressure on your spinal nerve roots.
How long is always up to you.  Chiropractic can be divided into  3 types of care: 1. INITIAL CARE which should get you out of pain.  2. CORRECTIVE CARE which allows healing to  stabilize the joint and prevent future injury.  3. WELLNESS / PREVENTATIVE CARE prevents future problems & removes minor day to day traumas.

People have been adjusting the spine for thousands of years. Every culture from the Greeks, Egyptians, Russians, etc had some form of “bone setter”. If you had a dislocated joint, they had a way to put it back into place.  It wasn’t until 1895, when Dr. Palmer revolutionized healthcare by the understanding that your brain is in the spinal column, that part of the brain is called the spinal cord, and that misalignment of the spinal vertebra can cause damage to the spinal cord and its nerve roots.
Every organ, tissue, or gland in your body is dependent on nerve flow for proper function & health.  Misalignment of the spine can interfere with the essential  nerve flow from your brain to your body tissues.
